Gosainkunda Pilgrimage Trek is another major trek of Langtang region. This trek can be done with taking Himalayan and cultural experience. On the trails, trekkers can catch panoramic views of different Himalaya like Langtang Lirung, Jugal, Ganesh, Manaslu, Gaurishankar, Dorje Lakpa etc. Besides that, Langtang region’s biological and cultural diversity can attract anyone’s mind and eyes. Different rivers, glaciers, lakes, suspension bridges, forests, Tamang villages and its cultures, rituals and tradition can be seen in the route. The major attraction of this Trek is holy Lake Gosainkunda. Gosainkunda - the precious sacred lake of Hindus and Buddhist which is located at an altitude of 4310m in Langtang National Park in Rasuwa district and it occupied 4 sq miles. More than 25,000 Hindus and Buddhists pilgrims come to bath in the lake during the month of August at the time of Janai Purnima (one of the popular festival of Hindus). According to Hindus mythology, high altitude lake created by Lord Shiva when he pierced a glacier with his trident to obtain the water to quench this thirst after consuming poison gathered from the chumming of the oceans.

This lake is beautifully decorated with prayer flags. There is a black rock in the middle of the lake and it is said to be head of lord Shiva. Around the Gosainkunda Lake there are other two lake called Bhairab Kund and Surya Kund which are also a major sights of Gosainkunda lake area.

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, our representative and driver meet you at the Tribhuvan International Airport and escort you to your designed hotel. The representative will help you check into your hotel. At the hotel, you will be briefed about your daily activities.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu

Kathmandu is the historical and cultural heart of Nepal and has been a popular destination for tourists ever since Nepal opened its doors to visitors. The Kathmandu valley offers you a wonderful mix of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western influence. In the morning after having breakfast, you will be guided to visit famous and biggest Hindus Pashupatinath temple, Buddha stupa, Swoyambhunath and in the afternoon having lunch you will visit Kathmandu durbar square and Patan durbar square.

Day 03: Drive to Dhunche

Leaving Kathmandu after having breakfast, you will be driven to Dhunche which is 120 km far from Kathmandu and it takes around 8 - 9 hours drive. You will follow the Pasang Lamu Highway to reach Dhunche. Moving to your destination, you will pass different location like Kakani (it is best for panoramic view of great Himalaya of Nepal, many hills and Kathmandu city), Trishuli bazaar, Dhunche. You can enjoy with the rural communities and their tradion and great views of Annapurna, Langtang, Gaurishankar, Ganesh, Manaslu etc.

Day 04: Dhunche to Sing Gompa

Today the trail follow the path for about an hour is slightly up and down and before climbing up we cross the small river and you will  hike through forest and finally reach Sing Gompa which is the main attraction at Chandan Bari, which also has several hotels and a small cheese factory.

Day 05: Sing Gompa to Gosainkunda

The trail climbs steeply climbs up the ridge. The trail climbs steeply up the ridge. The ridge is a transition zone between rich, moist mountain forests. As you ascend, there are outstanding views across Langtang valley to Langtang Lirung, Manaslu, Annapurna, Ganesh etc. Finally you will reach Gosainkunda by passing Laurebinayak where several tea house and lodges are available.

Day 06: Explore around Gosainkunda

This day you spend whole day for exploration of the lake. This lake one of the popular lake in Nepal which is located at an altitude of 4380m from the sea level and covered 4 sq miles. It is said that Lord Shiva (the god of Hindus) himself created the high altitude lake. In this lake particularly in summer season, carnival is happened. Many Hindus and Buddhists participate in this festival. Around the Gosainkunda Lake there are other lake as well, they are Bhairab Kund and Saraswati Kund.

Day 07: Trek to Ghopte/Thadepati

Another important day of Langtang Gosainkunda pass to Helambu trek with excellent mountain views also the passing pilgrimage holy lake today we enter the Helambu region with rich of Sherpa culture and traditions. Along the way we pass several lakes. The view from Lauribina pass is stunning. We walk up for 2 and half hours to get top than we step down to Phedi for lunch. Then again keep down walk for while and a short up climb to Thadepati.

Day 08: Trek to Kutumsang

From Tharepati there are two trail one leads to Melamchi Bazaar but we follow trail to Kutumsang.  We again walk through the jungle to Kutumsang. Normally trek goes down to Mangengoth for lunch. Again steep down to Kutumsang.

Day 09: Trek to Chisapani

Leaving Kutumsang,  today you will follow the path to go to Chisapani passing through forests, beautiful hills, Tamang village and getting its culture and tradition. Finally you will reach Chisapani in about 3 hours of walking.

Day 10: Trek to Sundarijal and drive to Kathamndu

Today you will trek up to Sundarijal and then you will be driven to Kathmandu which takes about 1 hour. While crossing the Chisapani to Sundarijal you will pass Shivapuri National Park where you can variety of flora fauna with the view of Kathmandu valley, terraced farmland etc.

Day 11: Depart Kathmandu

After checking out of the hotel, our representative will take to the airport for your flight home. Or if you want to stay longer for short tours i.e. National parks, rafting, and mountain biking, hiking, etc. do not forget to inform us.
