Overview

Everest Sherpa Village Trek is the classic trek in Everest region. Everest region/ Khumbu region is majorly inhabitated by Sherpa communities. So, the major attraction of this trek is Sherpa villages where trekkers can study socio- cultural i.e. tradition, culture and life style of Sherpa communities. Secondarily, trekkers have wonderful opportunity to see the wide range of snow capped great Himalaya along with Mt. Everest (8848m)- the highest peak on the planet, Makalu (8463m), Lhotse (8501m), Cho Oyu (8153m), Mt. Lhotse Shar (8,393m), AmaDablam etc. Glaciers, Rivers, Lake, beautiful forests and its flora and fauna, waterfalls, Temples and monastery can able to add more enjoy and interest in this trek.

This trek is considered as moderate type trek. This trail covers the various important places of Everest region like Lukla, Phakding, and Namchewhich is the major trading village in Khumbu region.

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, our representative and driver meet you at the Tribhuvan International Airport and escort you to your designed hotel. The representative will help you check into your hotel. At the hotel, you will be briefed about your daily activities.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley

Kathmandu is the historical and cultural heart of Nepal and has been a popular destination for tourists ever since Nepal opened its doors to visitors. The Kathmandu valley offers you a wonderful mix of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western influence. In the morning after having breakfast, you will be guided to visit famous and biggest Hindus Pashupatinath temple, Buddha stupa, Swoyambhunath and in the afternoon having lunch you will visit Kathmandu durbar square and Patan durbar square.
 

Day 03: Flight to Lukla& trek to Phakding

This day after having breakfast, you have a flight to Lukla and a landing on a steep mountain runway brings us to the start of your trek at the village of Lukla [2850m]. When you are in aircraft you can enjoy by seeing the panoramic sights of great Himalayas of Nepal including Mt. Everest (8,848m), Mt, Makalu (8,463m), Mt, Cho Oyu (8153m), Mt. Lhotse (8,501m) and Mt. Lhotse Shar (8,393m),Kanchenjunga, Gaurishankar, Ganesh, Langtang etc.   After landing at Lukla you head up the DudhKoshi Valley on a well-marked trail and you will be accommodated at local lodge.

Day 04: Trek to Namche

Leaving Phakding, you will cross and re-cross the river on high suspension bridges, Monjo- the entrance to the Sagarmatha National Park which was set-up in order to protect and preserve the fragile mountain environment. You follow the path to get Namche which is the major trading village in Khumbu region. If the weather is clear, you get the first glimpse of Mt Everest.

Day 05: Rest day in Namche

Today is rest day. You will spend your entire day in Namche by taking complete rest as acclimatization to gain altitude, planning for forthcoming trips and getting habituated to your trekking destinations. To acclimatize, you visit Khunde Hospital which was  set up by Sir Edmund Hillary, Everest view Hotel for sunset views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and AmaDablam.

Day 06: Trek to Thame

From Namche you will trek up to Thame which is the old Sherpa village along with BhoteKoshiriver valley. On the way you can see many Tibetan nomads with hundred of Yak caravan trading goods to Namche.

Day 07: Trek to Khumjung

From Thame, you will go ahead to Khumjung after having your breakfast. Khumjung is also a Sherpa village where trekkers can see the traditions and cultures of local communities. Besides this you can see very nice views of Himalayan Mountains. From Tengboche we can see Mount Everest, Mount Lhotse, Mount Nuptse, Mount AmaDablam etc.

Day 08: Trek to Phortse (Sherpa village)

Today you will trek from Khumjung to Phortse- the main Sherpa village around this trail. After reaching Phortse you can study the Phortse village about its culture, tradition etc.

Day 09: Trek to Pangboche

Leaving Phortse- the Sherpa village of the trail, you will follow the path to get Pangboche. You will reach Pangboche by passing the forests, KhumbuKhola, ImjaKholaand suspension bridges with taking the panoramic views of great Himalaya and hills on the way.

Day 10: Trek to Thyangboche

This day from Pangboche, the trail follows the path to the side of the valley, high above the DudhKoshi.  You will get first really good views of the great peaks of the Khumbu including Mt Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and AmaDablam. As you descend, you will pass several Sherpa villages and tea shops. You hike to reach Thyangboche by following the zigzag path which offers awesome sights of rhododendron bushes with beautiful birds and superb mountain scenery. Finally, you get Thyangboche which is famous for its legendary monastery, the largest in the Khumbu.

Day 11: Trek to Namche

From Thyangboche your trek continue to Namche by following the river, rhododendron forests and the Himalaya views of Tawache, Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, AmaDablam, Kantega and Thamserku.

Day 12: Trek to Lukla

After having breakfast you can check in the airport to fly back to Kathmandu. At the Kathmandu airport, your guide will transfer to the designed hotel. In the evening you have free time for refreshment and shopping etc.

Day 13: Flight to Kathmandu

After having breakfast you can check in the airport to fly back to Kathmandu. At the Kathmandu airport, your guide will transfer to the designed hotel. In the evening you have free time for refreshment and shopping etc.

Day 14: Depart Kathmandu

After checking out of the hotel, our representative will take to the airport for your flight home. Or if you want to stay longer for short tours i.e. National parks, rafting, and mountain biking, hiking, etc. do not forget to ask us.
