Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, our representative and driver meet you at the Tribhuvan International Airport and escort you to your designed hotel. The representative will help you check into your hotel. At the hotel, you will be briefed about your daily activities.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley
Kathmandu is the historical and cultural heart of Nepal and has been a popular destination for tourists ever since Nepal opened its doors to visitors. The Kathmandu valley offers you a wonderful mix of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western influence. In the morning after having breakfast, you will be guided to visit famous and biggest Hindus Pashupatinath temple, Buddha stupa, Swoyambhunath and in the afternoon having lunch you will visit Kathmandu durbar square and Patan durbar square.
Day 03: Flight to Lukla and trek to Phakding
This day after having breakfast, you have a flight to Lukla and a landing on a steep mountain runway brings us to the start of your trek at the village of Lukla [2850m]. When you are in aircraft you can enjoy by seeing the panoramic sights of great Himalayas of Nepal including Mt. Everest (8,848m), Mt, Makalu (8,463m), Mt, Cho Oyu (8153m), Mt. Lhotse (8,501m) and Mt. Lhotse Shar (8,393m),Kanchenjunga, Gaurishankar, Ganesh, Langtang etc. After landing at Lukla you head up the Dudh Koshi Valley on a well-marked trail and you will be accommodated at local lodge.
Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar
Leaving Phakding, you will cross and re-cross the river on high suspension bridges, Monjo- the entrance to the Sagarmatha National Park which was set-up in order to protect and preserve the fragile mountain environment. You follow the path to get Namche which is the major trading village in Khumbu region. If the weather is clear, you get the first glimpse of Mt Everest.
Day 05: Rest day at Namche Bazaar
Today is a rest day. You will spend your entire day in Namche by taking complete rest as acclimatization to gain altitude, planning for forthcoming trips and getting habituated to your trekking destinations. To acclimatize, you visit Khunde Hospital which wasÂ set up by Sir Edmund Hillary, Everest view Hotel for sunset views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Ama Dablam.
Day 06: Trek to Thyangboche
This day from Namche, the trail follows the path to the side of the valley, high above the Dudh Koshi.Â You will get first really good views of the great peaks of the Khumbu including Mt Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Ama Dablam. As you descend, you will pass several Sherpa villages and tea shops. You hike to reach Thyangboche by following the zigzag path which offers awesome sights of rhododendron bushes with beautiful birds and superb mountain scenery. Finally, you get Thyangboche which is famous for its legendary monastery, the largest in the Khumbu.
Day 07: Trek to Dingboche
After breakfast, you start your trek down to Diboche village through the rhododendron forest and crossing the bridge, then you will arrive atÂ one of the beautiful village in Pangboche.The trail continue to Dingboche as Mt. Amadablam get closer and closer. After 5 hours pleasant walk, finally we arrive in Dingboche which is also the gateway to Chukung Village and Island peak.
Day 08: Rest day at Dingboche
Today is rest a day. You will spend your entire day in Dingboche by taking complete rest as acclimatization to gain altitude, planning for forthcoming trips and getting habituated to your trekking destinations. Besides that you can hike around the Dingboche.
Day 09: Trek to Chukum
After day acclimatization at Dingboche, today you will trek up to Chukum village. On the way to Chukum you have wonderful opportunity to explore or relax and taking in the mountain scenery with excellent views of Nuptse, Lhotse, Chukum Peak and Imja Tse (6189 m) are had from both in the valley. It is from here that you will prepare to make your first crossing of a high pass, the Kongma La Pass at 5300 meters.
Day 10: Trek to Kongma la passes - Lobuche
After having breakfast you will move towards Kongma la Pass followed by steep ascent into the deep valley between Pokalde Base Camp and Chukum village. At Pokalde base Camp where you can see clear blue lake which lies just below the pass. About 5- 6 hours hike you will reach the todayâ€™s destination Lobuche via Kongma la pass. From this route both Pheriche and Dhugla are visible as well as good mountain views.
Day 11: Trek to Everest Base Camp via Gorakshep and return to Gorakshep
Your last destination for today is Everest base camp (EBC). To get Everest Base Camp you will go through Gorakshep which is the base of EBC, Khumbu glaciers, and superb views of surrounding mountains. After about 3 hours of walking you will reach EBC. From Everest Base Camp you can not see the get views of Mount Everest, but you are able to see the notorious Everest Ice Fall that flows from the Western Cwm, which is regarded as technically the hardest and most dangerous section of the mountain. After spending some times in EBC you will back to Gorakshep for the accommodation.
Day 12: Trek to Kala Patthar and trek to Zongla
From Gorakshep, you follow the path by climbing to get Kala Pattar which is at 5545m where you can enjoy the view of sunrise in the Himalayas including the mighty Everest, and many other mountain peaks like Mt. Pumori, Mt. Lingtren, Mt. Khumbetse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Thamserku and many more of those wonder peaks. After observing around kala Pattar, you trek to Zongla where your accommodation will be managed.
Day 13: Trek to Thannak
Today, you will start your trekking early morning as you are going to cross the Cho La pass (5370m), a steep and somewhat difficult ascent of a rocky ridge a few hours walk from Zongla by crossing a small glacial stream, and then start climbing up the pass. From the top, you have a good sight of Ama Dablam, Kantega, Thamserku, Taboche, Cholatse and Baruntse, and to Nangpai Gosain, Pasang Lhamo, Numbur and on the Gokyo side. Today is going to be one of the toughest days of your trip. The walk begins as we transverse through a spur extending westward from Zongla. The path descends to a basin across which meanders a murmuring stream crusted with ice at places. In about an hour, we reach the top of the basin readying for the triumph on Cho-La.
Day 14: Trek to Gokyo
From Thannak you will start your trekking in the morning by crossing the Ngozumpa Glacier on a sandy, shifting trail, the frozen lakes creaking below and beside us as we turn your way to the other side. You have entered the grassy ablation valley running beside the Ngozumpa Glacier, and have your first sight of Gokyo, a seasonal village and grazing area built beside the third and biggest lake. Gokyo has become something of a Himalayan resort without the crowd â€“ at least in terms of the comfortable lodges with sunrooms, unbeatable views, excellent food and warm stoves.
Day 15: Rest day at Gokyo and excursion around Gokyo valley & Lake
Today is rest a day. You will spend your entire day in Gokyo by taking complete rest as acclimatization to gain altitude, planning for forthcoming trips and getting habituated to your trekking destinations. Besides that you can hike around the Gokyo valley and lake. If you interested, you can climb on a hill at the edge of the Lakes to get astounding views of Cho-Oyu, Gyachung Kang, Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Makalu.
Day 16: Trek to Lund
This day you will start to climb Renjo la pass after having breakfast. This is a truly amazing high pass in Everest region and is getting even more popular by the day. After about 3 hours, you will get the Renjo La where a dazzling vista of Everest itself, Lhotse, Cholatse and Taboche can be seen gleaming in the sunshine.Â
Day 17: Trek to Thame
Today is comparatively easy day to descend to Thame which is sprawling village with a few lodges and stunning mountains like Thamserku, Kantenga, Kusum Kangguru, etc. Overlooking Thame is its famous Gompa situated amidst some fields on a hill to the west. The Gompa has three big images of Chenresig (Avalokiteswara), Guru Rimpoche, Buddha Sakyamuni. Colorful Mani Rimdu festival featuring colorful mask dances is held in this Gompa the month of May.
Day 18: Trek to Namche Bazaar
From Thame you will follow the flat route and descending to first resting place Thamo after heading towards to Namche bazaar. The place offers breathtaking views of Thamo village where Khari monasteries are lies and the stunning views of great Himalayas.
Day 19: Trek to Lukla
This is your final dayâ€™s trek which follow the path to Dudh Koshi to reach Lukla. After reaching Lukla in the evening, you have a time to enjoy with Sherpa guides and porters by taking local drinks.
Day 20: Fly to Kathmandu
After having breakfast you can check in the airport to fly back to Kathmandu. At the Kathmandu airport, your guide will transfer to the designed hotel. In the evening you have free time for refreshment and shopping etc.
Day 22: Depart Kathmandu
After checking out of the hotel, our representative will take to the airport for your flight home. Or if you want to stay longer for short tours i.e. National parks, rafting, and mountain biking, hiking, etc. do not forget to ask us.
